This was the same year GH tackled transphobia when Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Oscar (ex-Garren Stitt) organized an alternative prom when a transgender classmate experienced transphobia regarding the actual prom.
Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) youngest son Aiden (Tristan Riggs) was presumed to be gay back in 2018, but he didn’t officially come out until late 2023 when he revealed his interest in a male classmate to his mom.
The latest member of Port Charles’ queer community is Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), who quickly fell head over heels for Kristina (Kate Mansi), despite her mother Natalia’s (Eva LaRue) objections.
She mentionned Eloi a while back when Blazer was still around but i dont remember any mention of a third sibling AT all with vert limited allusion to Eloi from Time to time.

Marco said to him that he didn’t have any plans of sleeping with him during their conversation yesterday. Why is this a discussion. And why would you want to take a “passed out random whiny puky mess” back to your hotel room to spend the night? Things didn’t end well for any of them romantically, and they have since all gone their separate ways.

It wasn’t long until GH introduced a bisexual character and a transgender character, respectively.
Thank God its a soap because the amount of suspended belief required for that scénario is off the chart.

I am looking at this from the standpoint of Lucas’ meeting with Marco not being random but intended. After a teenaged Lucas endured coming out to friends and family, a hate crime, disownment from his mother Bobbie (ex-Jacklyn Zeman – here’s how GH said goodbye), and counseling before finally being accepted by his dying father Tony (ex-Brad Maule).
After Lucas left Port Charles in 2006, GH didn’t see another queer character until 2012 when the openly gay Felix (Marc Anthony Samuel) and Brad (Parry Shen) were introduced and eventually ended up in a love triangle when Lucas (Ryan Carnes) returned to town.
His “accidental” meeting with Lucas in Miami now
seems orchestrated. However, spending the whole night sitting in a chair to watch over him is absurd. Maybe the gay angle is just a ruse to draw in Lucas? My former coworker was one of five kids, she was the only straight one.

There are many families where multiple children are gay.
I guess Marco/Eloi could still be in the closet but to me it feels a bit Much and redundant.

Natalia never mentioned she had a gay son and one would think that would come up given the whole mess with Blaze. ? Marco could only be pretending to be gay in order to interact with Lucas.
Since the early 2000s, soap operas haven’t shied away from representing the LGBTQIA+ community with characters and storylines that were both heartwarming and heartbreaking, and General Hospital was always a pioneer. However, it was her latter role that will be remembered by many — as well as her and Chase’s 2023 Nurses Ball performance and chemistry.
Blaze first turned up in November 2022, when she appeared at Charlie’s Pub and introduced herself to Chase and Brook Lynn. Rare, maybe, but not beyond comprehension. I know this because my nephew married a woman with three children, the oldest of which is gay. Everyone is not always as they claim to be and it wouldn’t be the first time either on GH or in real life that one person lied to another.
Natalia having two gay children is not preposterous.
Unlike Lucas and Kristina, who were afraid of what their parents would think of their sexualities simply because they felt they were different, Blaze’s battle with her religious relatives — including her mom Natalia (Eva LaRue) — adds an extra element to the situation that GH has never delved into and is already portraying beautifully.

His coming out coincided with National Coming Out Day on October 11 of that year.
Theres a lot of things that could make me doubt him even remotely being interested in Lucas, but not Taking advantage of him isnt one of Them
For the record, i find the Idea of TWO of Natalia’s kids being gay preposterous and im gay myself. “So for now I’ll say, ‘See you around.'”
We wish the talented Lopez the best on her next endeavor and hope to once again see Blaze make a pit stop in Port Charles in the future.
