A TikTok user posted screenshots appearing to show a conversation House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., had with someone else on the gay dating app Grindr.
"It’s always the MAGA Christians," read the caption under the March 23 TikTok which included a photo of Johnson and the message, "What time should I pick you up from your hotel?"
The message’s color formatting matched the texting color scheme on Grindr, which is largely used by the LGBTQ+ community, especially gay and bisexual men.
He also previously led the city’s Charter Review Commission. In response, Will tells Joyce and then Mike that he has something he needs to share, not just with the two of them but with everyone. That dynamic is evident within Will's coming out scene, in fact, as Robin nods to him reassuringly. Specifically, Vecna didn't just show Will those visions of his loved ones drifting away from him to get under his skin; this was something that he was going to hold over Will's head.
That fear of being outed or being susceptible to Vecna's manipulations pertaining to his identity made Will realize that, in order to be truly ready to face Vecna, he had to make his identity something that Vecna could no longer hold over him.
It was challenging and exhausting at times, and I want to thank the voters for ignoring the clutter and putting their trust in me.
Although Will identifies the countless ways he is like his friends (the games, movies, and food they like, etc.), he explains that he doesn't like girls.
Will doesn't explicitly say the word gay, but it's abundantly clear not only in his explanation that he doesn't like girls the way his friends do, but also due to his reference to having a crush on someone while looking at Mike, that he's coming out.
This is a plot that has been building for some time, with Will increasingly struggling to watch Mike and Eleven/Jane's relationship and his conversations with Robin about how to take that leap or read the signs the way that Robin did with her now-girlfriend Vickie.

Mike Gay built upon his first-place showing in March to defeat Lindsey Brock in District 2 for the Jacksonville City Council, 52%-48%. It is highly unlikely given his high profile that he would offer a public extramarital date at a popular restaurant.
We found no evidence to substantiate the authenticity of these messages and several signs they are fake.
The thread showed this person told @cjbakerfitness that the purported Grindr exchange with Johnson was two years old.
But the Johnson photo in the Grindr thread is cropped from a selfie Rep. Dan Meuser, R-Penn., posted publicly March 4, 2025, on X, showing the two of them inside the Capitol Hill Club, a Republican social club.
I don’t think he is somebody who can be corrupted or will shy away from having to stand up for you and me in challenging events that will affect us.”
Gay, a lighting contractor and business owner, brought in more than $317,600 to his campaign according to the latest reports before the runoff. Mike is a businessman, father and husband, and devout Christian.
It could be argued that Mike was saying Will hadn't yet matured to the point that he, Dustin, and Lucas had, but the implication was there regardless.
Season 4 and the first few episodes of season 5 also made it obvious that Will was gay, especially with his increasingly overt feelings towards Mike. He shared screenshots of what looks like an Instagram direct message conversation between him and a person whose identity was cropped out of the screenshots.
John Rutherford, Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. The three TikToks received more than 3.6 million views combined. He will bring his knowledge and experience forward to improve Jacksonville as a member of the City Council.
