SECRET GARDEN

The Secret Garden is a mixed LGBTQ+ bar that welcomes everyone under the rainbow. They create marketing campaigns and conduct professional development training for brands working with the LGBT community. Together, they also serve as consultants for best practices in LGBT marketing campaigns.

Biography

Lindsay Cale is a down to earth thrill seeker who values the simple things in life.

Individuals 16 and up are able to change their legal gender; however, anyone under the age of 18 still needs permission from their parents, a doctor, and the National Board of Health and Welfare. They must be accompanied by a medical report stating that the person has undergone the primary “investigation”, via psychiatrist, to confirm the “diagnosis of transsexualism”.

They’re also home to arguably the most famous EuroVision winners: ABBA. The campaign featured a poster of an individual in camouflage with a rainbow flag badge on her arm, with the headline, "some things you should not have to camouflage."

Starting in February 2022, Sweden began restricting gender affirming care to minors with the Sweden’s National Board of Health and Welfare saying that "the risks outweigh the benefits currently".

Sweden now reserves gender affirming care for minors for "exceptional" circumstances.

Depending on what time of the day or night you visit, there are very different crowds and a different feel. In the military, we treat them with respect and see the differences of others as a fortress. Sweden has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 59 times since making its debut in 1958. Although it has been reformed several times, it still includes pathologizing requirements such as medical diagnosis and a "real life" test.

The festival focuses on film that questions, discusses and looks beyond the prevailing norms and illuminates the stories that otherwise would go unnoticed.
