In other good news, we are are celebrating a federal judge blocking the Trump administration from enforcing anti-diversity and anti-transgender executive orders targeting LGBTQ and HIV-serving non-profits, a headline we originally covered as it happened earlier this year, and a reminder why we LOVE a lawsuit!

We’ve also partnered with Substack: they understand the value of an entirely queer team creating an entirely queer show for the entire queer community.

This episode was originally recorded Monday, June 16th, intended to air on June 17th — but because what will now be known as a historical Today in Gay* moment in history, we had to postpone a day.

We are all proud members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and we’re all here to make your day a little more gay. In good news, Oregon’s “Freedom to Read” library bill — which stop schools from banning books just because LGBTQIA+ folks wrote them, is headed to Governor Tina Kotek’s desk! We are so joyful and vibrant, even when we shouldn't have to be — like, for example, while consuming the news.

In 2021, I realized there wasn’t a queer version of a daily news podcast that gays could listen to while they get ready for a day of being gay.

A reminder of why protests like the ones over the weekend are so important! When I met Nay Bever (Shudder’s “Queer For Fear”), I realized she was the perfect person to bring this podcast to life.
