The City of Los Angeles cut funding for its fire department and allocated thousands of dollars to various progressive programs, including a “Midnight Stroll Transgender Cafe” and a Gay Men’s Chorus.

However, in parallel, money was found for "progressive" programs.
$100,000 was allocated to the Midnight Transgender Cafe project, created to help homeless transgender people in Hollywood.
$100,000 was sent to support the award of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
$14,000 has been allocated for performances by the Los Angeles Gay Men's Choir.
The $13,000 is dedicated to celebrating Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Heritage Month, as well as programs for African American, Latino, Asian, and indigenous communities.
170,000 dollars were spent to support the "Art of Social Justice".
The budget also funded the LGBT archives at the University of Southern California, which hosted an exhibition titled "Science Fiction, Magic, and Queer Los Angeles: Sexual Science and an Imaginary Nation," exploring the queer movement's connection to occult practices.
