Gay Hotels in Manchester: Manchester is one of the best cities in the UK for gay travellers.
Whilst you won’t find any exclusively gay hotels in Manchester (like these gay hotels around Europe) you will find that all hotels will welcome you with open arms.
However, having lived in Manchester for a long time, and having experienced a number of hotels myself, if you are looking for some of the best hotels in Manchester for gay travellers I highly reccomend that you check out the following options.
Before you visit make sure to also check my Gay Travel Guide to Manchester.
Gay Hotels in Manchester
Manchester is a one of the biggest cities in the UK, yet it is very easy to walk around or jump on a tram to get from A-B.
You will find that no matter where you stay in and around the city centre, everything is easily accessible.
Manchester Hotels near the Gay Village
If you are coming to Manchester for a trip, I have no doubt you will spend time in the Gay Village!
I live for convenience so have listed my recommended gay hotels in Manchester in order of distance from the Gay Village with the first two hotels being 2 minutes apart (regardless – everything is very close).
DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester
Hilton have done so much work globally for the LGBTQ+ community, making them a brand I stand behind.
When it comes to Manchester, DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester sits just a 5 minute walk from the main train station (Manchester Piccadilly) and a mere 2-minute walk into the gay village – ideal!
The hotel itself opened in 2007, and was taken over as a Hilton in 2012.
Downstairs the hotel has a restaurant where breakfast is served, which is also open for meals to the general public, and the Store Street Craft Bar – so named after the old name for Manchester Piccadilly train station (Store Street train station) and the selection of craft beers they serve.
The hotel has an onsite gym, which in our opinion was very well equipped for a hotel gym, and an onsite car park with space for upto 25 cars.

Penthouse was fantastic and hotel and staff were all very professional and really accomodating.
The staff were really great! Perhaps being in the gay village makes this the closest thing to being a gay hotel in Manchester?
I love the Village Brasserie (the on site restuarant) where I have eaten many times this summer and also Velvet Bar for its carefully crafted cocktails.
